Mark R. Hanson

Born June 12, 1964 in Valley City, North Dakota

Mark concentrates in commercial law, commercial litigation, insurance law, and railroad law. Mark has extensive trial and appellate experience.

Mark graduate cum laude from Valley City State University in 1986 and with distinction from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1989. Mark was the Managing Research Editor for the North Dakota Law Review, 1988-1989, and authored a case comment entitled  "Negligence-The Unit Rule and North Dakota's Comparative Negligence Statute," 64 N.D.L. Rev. 135 (1988). Mark is past member and chair of the Ethics Committee for the State Bar Association of North Dakota (SBAND), past Secretary-Treasurer for the  SBAND Board of Governors, and is on the SBAND Joint Committee on Attorney Standards. Mark is an active member of First Lutheran Church, Fargo, N.D.

Mark is admitted to practice in the state courts of North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota;  the United States District Court , District of North Dakota; and, the United States Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
